General Information

Rocio graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from the University of Oviedo and a master’s degree in pharmacological research at the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain). She decided to continue her career in science and become part of the THERADNET network. Her PhD project investigates the connecting underlying mechanisms between cell cycling and invasion, which determine the sensitivity to therapy of glioblastoma cells. As uncontrolled cell cycling and destructive infiltrative growth are key characteristics of glioblastoma, her work may close a long-lasting gap of knowledge exploitable for therapy optimization of glioblastoma.
