Nicole graduated with her Bachelors of Science from the University of Toronto in June 2021, where she studied Pharmacology. She has worked in oncology and drug delivery laboratories at both the University of Toronto and MIT throughout her undergraduate degree and is thrilled to continue working in this field with the THERADNET network.

Nicole is currently completing her Master of Research at the University of Oxford. Her project focuses on developing inhibitors of oxidative phosphorylation with the goal of altering tumour metabolism and increasing local oxygen availability in hypoxic solid tumours. Successful alleviation of tumour hypoxia is crucial in overcoming resistance to radiation therapy and improving clinical outcomes. This research may also have important implications in the context of chemotherapy and immunotherapy resistance.
