As part of the 2nd THERADNET workshop, ESRs took part in a Research Data Management Course headed by Dr. Stefanie Rehwald from UKE. The course was split into two separate sessions on days two and three of the workshop meeting: The module “Research Data Management I” on November 25 comprised an introduction to the topic and basic principles of research data management. On November 26, the second part “Research Data Management II” featured hands on training sessions to deepen and practically apply the previously learned concepts. Overall, the course was highly successful in that ESRs gave very positive feedback and also more senior scientists expressed their keen interest in the specific course content, for example, the emerging concept of electronic laboratory journals to document research results and link them to the associated data.
